Rate Queen albums
If you had to rate the Queen albums, in which order would you put them?
Here's my list:
1. A Night At The Opera - The whole album is just great. No songs that are really weak, and contains some really great ones (Bohemian Rhapsody?). The album is diverse, but it flows really well, especially the first three songs, which almost seem like a medley, and even the "simple" songs such as '39 and Good Company are detailed and well crafted.
2. A Day At The Races - Basically a continuation of "A Night..." with more great stuff like "Somebody To Love" and again no bad songs.
3. Sheer Heart Attack - An eclectic album that set the tone for the two albums that came after. A little rough here and there, but an album I love very much.
4. Innuendo - Less consistent than the albums above, but it contains some great creative stuff. Queen back in form after some average 80s albums.
5. News Of The World - I just love stuff like Spread Your Wings and It's Late. The album is more raw than the previous two and it has a great energy.
6. Queen II - Great creative album, a little too outrageous and uncontrolled in some places, but fascinating all the same.
7. Miracle - A somewhat underrated album in my opinion, it has a lot of hits on it, and the sound and the songs are very lovingly polished. A pity the album starts of with its two weakest songs.
8. Made In Heaven - I always find it a little overproduced, but it has some gems, such as Mother Love and Too Much Love Will Kill You.
9. Jazz - An inconsistent album, but has a few classics on it, and I like Mustapha a lot as well.
10. Queen - Their first album is very raw, but has a great energy, even if the production is a little rough.
11. The Game - An album which I find a bit overrated. I love Save Me and Sail Away Sweet Sister, though. Might be Brian May's best album, songwriting-wise.
12. The Works - Radio Gaga and I Want To Break Free are great hits and songs I like, but as a whole the album doesn't do much for me. It's also very short with just nine songs.
13. A Kind Of Magic - A couple of great hit singles, but also some crap on it (Don't Lose Your Head?).
14. Hot Space - Not as bad as people sometimes make it out to be, but there aren't a lot of songs on it that make me want to put it on.
15. Flash Gordon - It's a movie score and as such it's actually pretty good. It's just not an album I put on a lot. The Kiss and Football Fight are great tracks though.

Re: Rate Queen albums
You both should swap Jazz with News of the World because Jazz is the consistent one.

Sheer Heart Attack
A Night At The Opera
Jazz
The Game
The only albums I really like and are memorable. News Of The World and A Day At The Races really fall flat in most parts and loose momentum

Yes, it is. Skip "Delilah" and you've got an amazing album in your hands.

Re: Rate Queen albums
Here's how I would rate the individual tracks on Innuendo (1 to 5):
Innuendo - 5
I'm Going Slightly Mad - 4
Headlong - 3.5
I Can't Live With You - 3
Don't Try So Hard - 4
Ride The Wild Wind - 3.5
All God's People - 4.5
These Are The Days Of Our Lives - 4.5
Delilah - 2
Hitman - 3.5
Bijou - 3.5
Show Must Go On - 5
Vocally, "Innuendo" is Freddie's best album. He literally sings as if his life depends on it.

Mostly nailed it, though I'd give "Ride the Wild Wind" 4.5.

I dont understand why none of you find Jazz one of the best albums.

Re: Rate Queen albums
I love Jazz, it has some great songs on it. In fact, of all the Queen albums it may the one I still put on the most often. However, it also has a few clunkers on it, so when rating albums, it ranks as somewhat inconsistent and I have to rate it lower than other more consistent Queen albums.
