Welcome to The Range Place! We are a growing community studying various human voices, though we do go off-topic a lot too!


What can I find from The Range Place?

• Discussion about vocal ranges, voice types and singing in general
  
• Community that shows a lot of passion regarding vocals
  
• Separate vocal forum for users
  
• Music discussion in general
  
• Topics not connected to music in any way!
  
• Old favourites and NEW singers

What we are trying to avoid:

• Musical elitism
  
• Musical clichés (JUSTIN BIEBER SUCKS, etc.)
  
• Being rude (unless necessary)

If you want to add/fix some info concerning different singers, make sure to do it in a clear and proper way. We are not guaranteed to agree with you though, so be wary of this.

Remember that we DO NOT prefer vocal range to actual singing: great singer with two octaves is always more impressive than singer who has over three octaves but keeps on cracking while hitting his notes and generally sounds unimpressive and bland.

Remember to visit the thread called 'Introduce Yourself' and do what the name implies!
