Congratulations on FINALLY convincing me that his high notes are full. I had been back and forth with my verdict on what register he sang in beyond A4 more times than I can count...until you showed me that "Don't Cry" live performance, I had pretty much given up on reaching a verdict; but now I finally do believe that he sings in a very rare form of head voice. A1-G5 it is indeed.
To add to your list, here's a few other significant notes:
  • F♯5 ("Garden Of Eden")
  • E♭5 ("Back Off Bitch")
  • E2 ("Locomotive")
  • E♭2 ("So Fine", "Back Off Bitch")
  • C♯2 ("Dust N' Bones")
  • B♭1 ("Coma", "Breakdown"?, "Back Off Bitch", "Look At Your Game, Girl")

Cool Axl's power and range were killer in those early days. I can see how some people would think that he was using falsetto later, like post 1991. His upper register became alot thinner and scratchier.

The show that version of Don't Cry is from was beastly vocally.

The Bb is on the "I never really wanted to live..." line in Coma right? If so, that's really strong and resonant for 1st octave phrase.

Yeah, great note. There are alot of great bootlegs from around that time.

What was great about those days is that Axl could run up and down the stage and still had the lungs to continue singing. Now he's out of breath on half of the songs and it really impacts his vocals. He needs to cut down on the acrobatics. When he relaxes more, this is what you get... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLTHvsQN2KQ&feature=related

"There Was A Time" sounds like falsetto on the highest notes actually, really airy...

Maybe. He sings it in (strained) full voice live though.

I think it depends on his approach. I agree that most of his raspy voice stuff is full, but there was a time high bit and if the world from the new record sound very falsettish. I think he sings mostly in falsetto when singing 5th octave stuff cleanly.

Axl in 1987, on an early November Rain demo

Axl in 1991, year he blew his voice out, singing the same song live

Damn what a difference. Shocked Thankfully he sounds better now than he did in the 90's.

Yeah, his voice is excellent in 2010! It kicks the shit out of the 2002 Axl, and is on par with the late 80s/early 90s Axl!

He's great now but I wouldn't say he's on the same level as 80's Axl. His high register is quite a bit thinner now. I don't think he could sing Rocket Queen like this anymore:

The last few minutes rock hard here.

Yeah, the whole 1987-1990 era was probably Axl's best years. I'd say he's on par with the 1991-992 era.

Yeah, Indiana '91 is probably the worst concert Axl ever did voice wise. Still a badass show though. Here's the proof.

Holy Shit, is Axl on drugs Grin His voice sounds raspy and kinda unhealthy here.
