John Frusciante
John Frusciante from the Red Hot Chili Peppers

Hearing the new album made me realize how much I missed Frusciante. Doesn't solo too much, but his playing is really melodic and trippy. We could do best riffs, though. I think "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" and "Can't Stop' are contenders there.

Frusciante's soloing rocks here.

Fuck yeah! But it sounds really heavy for his style.
Well, yeah, he is a GOOD soloist... what I meant was he doesn't solo that much. I also like the soloing here:

Starts off as just a standard bit of interplay between John and Flea and then John just takes to the heavens. One of the most "feeling"-based guitar players I know, which adds so much to his music.

Don't do drugs, kids.
Unless you make this kind of music when you do them.

That was beautiful in an awkward way.

Untitled #10 is easily the best.

I've always found it a tossup between #2, #4 and #10.

Laziest guy when it comes to making coherent and listenable music after leaving one of the biggest bands in the world at their peak and shooting a lot of heroin.

That said I think Niandra Lades and Usually Just a T Shirt is a fantastic album.

Except Sphere, Curtains and The Empyrean are all great albums.
