Re: Mark Boals
Make sure to add "Leonardo" for B2s as well.
As for the Michael Kiskeing part...er, no comment. I dunno if we're even ready for such a high (literally) level of Michael Kiskeing...perhaps we should go back and work our way up first. I think I'm about ready to start Michael Kiskeing Matijevic.

Re: Mark Boals
D2 from high tenor sounds insane!
I listened to it and sounded full, are you sure it's Boals?

Re: Mark Boals
Um... he has a few D2s... he's probably not a high tenor.

Yes, yes it does...but then again, so does an A1 from a low tenor. Dammit, Paul!Timitzii wrote:D2 from high tenor sounds insane!I listened to it and sounded full, are you sure it's Boals?

I would say that's full 100%. I think he is full up to A5.

Not sure, really whiny... but he's definitely capable of hitting a G5 in full. jowox leaves out tons of short notes or even really significant ones in some cases (found a sustained Bb5 by Mike Tirelli the other day in the song he included a G5 from), so he's probably got some strained-ish singing up to G5 somewhere.
I'm not completely sure that everything we've heard in the G5-G#5 register is falsetto though. A5 and beyond are 100% falsetto but some of those G's and G#'s are tricky in regards to timbre compared to the obviously falsetto notes.

Re: Mark Boals
I might notewatch his stuff, been digging his voice recently...
He seems to opt for falsetto often for notes he could definitely hit in full, like that F# in "Fly".

Re: Mark Boals
Well, many singers have hit some high notes both in falsetto and and full (Halford, Sammet)...
That G5 is 100% full, listen to how connected it sounds!

Not so fast; don't forget guys like Geddy Lee and James LaBrie! I'd say B5 and beyond are 100% falsetto.Ray wrote:A5 and beyond are 100% falsetto but some of those G's and G#'s are tricky in regards to timbre compared to the obviously falsetto notes.
