Fantastic voice, I'm hoping to find some lows by him too. Smith's timbre is sometimes pretty baritonish but his natural voice is placed closer to a low tenor.

Also C5s in "Simple man", about time someone made a topic about this guy. Great voice, his upper register is really weighty, but I guess he could be a low tenor, his lows are not really baritonish or anything.

The vocalist from Shinedown, really powerful voice.

Nice to see you digging him, man. His weightiness really confused me but I see your point. I'll check out some of his stuff and try to find something significant because his timbre is really dark and weighty (he has potential for good lows too).
Good ol' times when Finnish radio station Radio Rock played "Devour" almost non-stop.

If I correctly remember, he has a pretty low talking voice. Maybe a dramatic tenor like me?

Yup, really dark timbre.
Let's try to find some notes related to songs at first. I really dislike interview notes (apart from few expectional cases).

Re: Brent Smith
Solid B2s here, is that just some kind of instrument sliding down at 3:08?

0:17 That is Brent, aye? If so, there are some solid G#2s and B4s by him.

Re: Brent Smith
Apologies for the long clip (I accidentally forgot to remove the song from the ending) but does this note slide down to G#2 or E2? I'm having trouble catching up the point, even with looping. All of the other notes in the song slide down to G#2 but I'm hearing this as E2, what do you guys think? Danerage, Maxim, Ray, anyone?

I showcased "The Crow & the Butterfly" to you one or two years ago and you said "you could believe him as low tenor". Check out these two and give your comment about his voice type:
Also, what do you think about that possible slide-down to E2?
