"Star A.D.", the chorus has high slided notes, the highest is screamy.

What do you mean "He has also done countless screams, which could be counted as a part of range!"? Like screamy full voice notes, or just non-modal screams? If the former, yes, they could be counted towards his range...if the latter, though, the most those would qualify for is his non-modal range. Seeing how he's already got a C7 there, I doubt any of these "screams" will surpass that!

"Moonchild" with 8 minutes of screaming, I think he changes between falsetto and his full voice, the screams differ from each other sometimes! Smile

"Cuckoo for Caca" with some awesome screams!

"Der Golem", after the low passages he lets out some inhuman screaming. Cool

The "Il Cupo Dolore" note is C5... how anyone can think D5 is beyond me Laughing This whole song sounds like he's parodying opera singers Laughing

I don't think Patton is a bass-baritone. I guess he's a low baritone or a baritone. His lows aren't that bassy and his speaking voice is fairly high.

I thought bass-baritone meant the same as low baritone... man I hate that term so much, we may as well start calling Todd Hall, Merc, etc. baritone-tenors... but yeah low baritone sounds right...

Yeah, I meant low baritone with bass-baritone. It's really confusing when there are many terms floating... Laughing

Yea okay, it's just that, he is listed as a high bass here.

Yeah, I'd probably need to hear some more low passages before I'm sure of him being a bass.

*points finger of blame* None of us were using the term "bass-baritone" until YOU came along!

Laughing
Seriously, though, there's no need for things to get so confusing...with the terms we're using here, there's low/standard/high basses/baritones/tenors/altos/sopranos(/contraltos/mezzo-sopranos?) and that's IT. No bass-baritones, no baritenors, no bass-baritenors, no sopraltos...NADA. The contraltos/mezzo-sopranos thing deserves some debate, I think; but not here...TO THE RANGE INDEX!

Great singer. My favourite Patton performance is "Pink Cigarette" from California. afro
