Jonas Renkse

Post  Huzzah on Sat Feb 18, 2012 2:04 pm

Voice Type: High Baritone
Vocal Range: G2-G4(-B4)
Best Display of Range:

High Notes Falsetto:
-B4 "Right into the Bliss"

High Notes:
-G4 "Sleeper", "Evidence"
-E4 "Right into the Bliss"
-D4 "My Twin"

Low notes:
-G2 "Right into the Bliss"

I'm not very good at note watching yet, I think I'm right on these.... He seems to sing exclusively in a high mix

I think you are 1 octave too high.

Yeah. Either I think you meant to put G2 or a tenor of some sort.

octave too high seems likely, i used guitar pro to reference the notes and i think that program names them an octave higher for some reason

if you listen to him he has kind of a heavy timbre with a high voice though, like a baritone singing in mix

Yeah, the note in Sleeper sounded like G4 to me.

So question, is the bottom string on a guitar in standard tuning an E3 or an E2? GP says its E3... then again theres probably an E3 in there amidst the harmonics

Hah, I actually tried to notewatch him a while ago, but gave up since there really isn't much significant stuff at all.

And me and Timi couldn't decide on High Baritone or Low Tenor. Still not sure tbh.

Although, I seem to recall finding notes around A4-B4 in full voice, gonna see if I can find them again.

Id say high baritone because his timbre seems heavier. I sound similar in my mixed voice, but I full on sound like Ville Valo in my full voice and call myself and standard baritone lol

I think it was his highs around A4-B4 that sounded really light and tenorish.

After listening to Right Into The Bliss again, I'm getting more convinced that he's a low tenor. His lows just aren't very strong or thick at all, in fact they are rather light and just have a slightly darkened tone.

While his 4th octave stuff is all very tenorish.

I was thinking about pitching him, but I didn't find any significant highs or lows.
